Rockford, IL- The Rockford Area Libertarians
applaud the honesty shown by Representative Dave Winters
(R-69). In an obvious moment of anger, Representative
Winters told his constituents what he really thinks of
them. Whiners.
Speaking at an informational meeting regarding the
proposed prison in Winnebago County, Mr. Winters told the
crowd, "You didn't end up with everything bad, so quit
whining!"
"We rarely see this kind of honesty in our local
politicians," noted Tim Huwe, Secretary of the Rockford
Area Libertarians. "Frustration and anger often can bring
out a person's true feelings."
"I say, 'whiners' unite!" Huwe continued. "Be proud to
live in a country where you still have the right to be a
'whiner.' With all of the legisltaion, government
projects, and spending that occurs today, it is great to
see concerned citizens speak their mind."
Planning to attend the next meeting on Monday night, Huwe
continued, "we will have name tags available for anyone
who is fed up with arrogant politicians, who have
forgotten that they work for the people." The name on the
tags, "'Whiner,' of course." Huwe concluded.
